The Christmas campaign of the Dutch NGO Alzheimer Nederland features Willeke Alberti’s classic ‘Samen Zijn’ in a subtle, acoustic performance by singer-songwriter MEAU. In cooperation with creative agency ICP and Alzheimer Nederland, we approached MEAU to perform this classic song from 1987 in her own recognizable style. The song deeply captures the universal wish to be together with loved ones in the holiday season.
MEAU is rapidly making her way to the top of the Dutch indie singer-songwriter scene. Her already sold-out club tour in 2022 (to Paradiso and TivoliVredenburg, amongst other venues) is even more impressive when you consider that she first performed in front of an audience in June 2021. She is conquering the charts with her recently released, very personal single ‘Dat Heb Jij Gedaan’, which is currently on the playlist of 3FM, 100%NL, Radio 2, Q-music and Radio 538.
