“La Bamba” is a traditional Mexican folk song originating from the state of Veracruz. The song gained international fame through its rock and roll adaptation by Ritchie Valens in 1958. Los Lobos, a Chicano rock band, recorded a cover of “La Bamba”, which also became a hit and introduced the song to a new generation.
